The guest house has a Siberian larch exterior that has weathered to silvery grey since these pictures were taken. There is larch decking around the back of the house and at the gable end furthest from the sea, A stone retaining wall separates the house from the garden and shelters the outdoor seating area.

The decking continues down past the side of the kayak store. The distinctive, pink-hued stone used in the walls was quarried on-site.
